Use Card Reader is off (Setup → System → Options). Readers can be configured here, but kiosks will ignore card presentations until it is on.

Start with Auto. If the number comes out wrong, watch the Live Reads panel and set a regex or format to match what the reader actually sends.

Group 1 is the card number. Overrides Format.

Strip Leading Zeros

Wiegand 26-bit: the reader sends 7 ASCII hex characters (28 bits). The last 2 bits are padding; of the remaining 26, bits 1–8 are the facility code and bits 9–24 the card number, which is reported in decimal — e.g. 3DD9370 → facility 123, card 45678. Min Length and Strip Leading Zeros don't apply.

Min Length

Shorter frames are noise.

Debounce (ms)

Repeats while held.

Idle Frame (ms)

For readers with no terminator.
